Lot Description
Civil War Era Double Billet Cavalry Belt
American Civil War
Nominally 34" in overall length and 2" wide. Made of thin, black finished bridle leather. Double billet closure with two smaller straps with small iron buckles. Attached sword suspension buckles of the same pattern would have accepted straps with holes in them that served as the sword hangers. A nice piece for use in a Confederate cavalry display.
