Single action percussion revolver with octagonal to round barrel and six-shot cylinder. Upper barrel flat is struck GRISWOLD...GRIER/ATLANTA GA. Barrel serial number reads 4592, indicating it was possibly mistakenly reversed. All markings struck individually. No serial number to forward gripstrap, and no visible proof markings suggestive of Italian make. The finish appears to have been artificially aged and brushed down, though the edges, particularly of internal components, remain sharp, and the machine marks on screws and small parts crisp. Item comes with a machine stitched left hand flap holster with plug to the tip, and a brass stud for the fastener. No maker markings visible. {ANTIQUE}
