Confederate Brass Saber Bayonet Adapter with Cook & Brother Style Triangular Lug
American Civil War
Tapered brass saber bayonet rifle barrel ring adapter lug with slightly rounded .82" long by .32" wide footed lug with a triangular cross section as found on those adapters made by Cook & Brother. Nominal barrel diameter of the ring is nominally .88" suggesting use on a Mississippi style rifle. Iron tension screw in place appears to be a more recent addition for display.
