Short recoil operated DA/SA autoloading pistol fed by detachable single stack magazines. Left side struck with P.38 model mark followed by the cyq factory code for the Spreewerk factory. The same code is also struck into the left barrel. Serial numbers match on the frame, barrel, breechblock, and slide. Item shows {Eagle/88} waffenamt stamps in two places on right slide with single stamps to the left frame, left barrel, and right breechblock. Grips exhibit legible mold stamps and strong edges. Item comes with a total of three magazines including two jvd stamped examples and one unmarked one. Comes with two non standard leather holsters, both unmarked flap type, one with a magazine pouch. Comes with a photocopy of the bringback papers for this item, signed and dated August 31, 1944. {C&R}
