Vietnam War Era 5th Special Forces Grouping Including Class A Jacket Identified to Thomas L. Marich

Lot includes one wool Class "A" jacket mounting a 5th Special Forces arrowhead patch with AIRBORNE patch, Jump Wings, Presidential Unit Citation, Valorous Unit Award, and Republic of Vietnam Presidential Unit Citation, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Ribbon, National Defense Service Medal, and synthetic nameplate with MARICH surname. The shoulders mount US Army Special Forces pins. Accompanying the jacket are a signed and 1967 dated form for "Permissive Travel Orders for Out-of-Country R&R" issued to Thomas L. Marich, then an E-4 in the Signal Company of the 5th Special Forces Group, and a letter written by Thomas Marich to the collector of this lot personally thanking him for his purchase, and dated December 12, 2013. Additionally included in the lot are one Class "A" jacket with 5th Special Forces patch and related appliances and no applied nametag, a BANCROFT made green beret with affixed Special Forces patch and pin, a 5th Special Forces marked OD green 3rd Pattern Tropical Combat Jacket with DEWEY name patch, a second 5th Special Forces marked Tropical Combat Jacket with HARGIE surname, and one without the surname patch and likewise mounted with 5th Special Forces patches.
