Group of WWII and post-WWII US Marine Corps Dress Blues, Including One Identified to 5th Marines Iwo Jima Veteran
World War II
Lot includes one WWII era USMC Dress Blue Coat identified to L.P. Clark, with the name and date of 12-18-1943 stamped into the lining of the breast pocket. Jacket mounts a shoulder patch for the 5th Marines, and a Master Sergeant's Stripes. Comes with one pair of blue trousers, white belt, and the {Eagle, Globe, and Anchor} staff NCO buckle. According to a printout accompanying this piece, Sergeant Lewis P. Clark fought in the Battle of Iwo Jima with the 5th Marines. Also included are one additional WWII era Dress Blue Coat, and Two Post-1947 Coats with pockets, one pair blue trousers without blood stripe, and an additional pair of wool trousers with stripe.
