World War I
Lot includes two jackets bearing the NR shoulder patch for the 339th Infantry Regiment, one with and one without collar buttons. The one without appears to be Officer grade, and lacks officers' badges on the shoulders. Enlisted tunic comes with the RUSSIA medal with rainbow ribbon. Also included are one scarf, OD green wool and fur ushanka cap, and one leather insulated vest, all used as insulation in the severe cold experienced by the 339th Infantry Division when it was deployed as part of the Allied Intervention into the Russian Civil War.
