Large Group of Mostly Civil War Era Leather Accoutrements & Field Gear
American Civil War

1) US Pattern 1861 "Two Rivet" Socket Bayonet Scabbard. 18" overall.
2) US Pattern 1850 Shield Front Cap Pouch. Sewn only construction, brass finial, no wool or pick. Weak "US" on face.
3) Civil War Era Carbine Cartridge Box with J CUMMINGS contractor mark. Internal wood cartridge block with 20 holes of normally .56" diameter. Heavily mildewed, repaired closure tab.
4) US Civil War era Carbine Sling. Nominally 52" in overall length, 2.5" wide. Includes unmarked snap hook.
5) US Civil War era sword belt with hangers and Sam Brown cross shoulder belt. With Pattern 1851 sword belt plate with applied silver wreath. Plate and keeper do not have matching bench numbers. Well worn with heavy mildew and wear.
6) Civil War era leather belt with sliding frog for an NCO or Musician Sword or similar. Very worn with red rot setting in. Poor overall.
7) US Pattern 1850 Shield Front Cap Pouch - Allegheny Arsenal Style. Sewn only construction, closure tab missing, no wood or pick. An illegible contractor mark is present on the interior.
8) US Pistol Cartridge Box, Civil War era. Unmarked. Exterior flap nominally 5.25"x4", interior box 4.5"x3". Well used.
9) Late 19th century US Naval Officer's Belt with two-piece buckle. Well worn.
10) Folded and sewn officer's belt, Civil War to Indian War period with two-piece cast Pattern 1851 Officer's belt plate. Matching bench numbers on plate and keeper. Well worn and stiff.
11) Worsted Wool Red Civil War era hat cord for artillery dress hats. Fair to good, with wear.
12) Pair 19th century binoculars marked S THAXTER BOSTON on the eye pieces. Well worn, optics functional but need to be cleaned.
