Lot Description
Two Ethnographic Edged Weapons: Nepalese Kukri and Filipino Barong
1) Tourist grade Barong with 12.675" single edged blade of traditional pattern. 19" overall with 6.125" carved wood hilt decorated with aluminum and colored cords. Wood scabbard with faux mother of pearl decorations at throat and drag, wrapped in reeds and with cloth wrap at throat.
2) Kukri with 11" traditional curved single edged spear point Kukri blade, 15.5" in overall length. 4.75" hilt with wood grip and brass mounts. Unmarked. Knife is accompanied by its leather covered wooden scabbard with leather belt loops and pair of utensil knives, with 2.5" and 2.25" blades, measuring 4" overall and 4.125" overall respectively.
