Single action percussion revolver with six-chambered unfluted cylinder, hammer nose notch rear sight and brass cone front sight. An apparent Italian reproduction of a Colt M1851 Navy altered to appear like a Confederate Augusta Arsenal revolver with six addition cylinder stop slots added to the cylinder to create twelve, which was one of the features of the Augusta revolvers. Top flat of barrel stamped AUGUSTA GA. Machine work is crude, particularly on the stop slots and in re-profiling parts of the frame and barrel. Strong remnants of the reproduction revolver's original roll engraved scene remain on the cylinder. A neat option for the reenactor who wants to have a less common Confederate revolver as part of his impression.
