Lot Description

*U.S. Property Marked Remington Model 541-X Target Rifle with BSA Contender Scope

.22 LR. 27" barrel length. SN: A1067494. Blued metal finish overall with oil finished walnut semi-pistol grip bench rest style stock with 3.5" rail to forend. Bolt action repeating rifle fed by detachable single stack magazines fitted with a tunnel front sight, and a mounting bracket for an aperture rear sight. Item mounts two piece Weaver scope base to receiver mounting a BSA CONTENDOR 6-24X50 telescopic sight with threaded lens protectors. Retains Remington branded black synthetic buttplate, sling swivel to butt, and to hand stop on forend. Standard Remington make and model marks to upper barrel, including the WARNING marking. Left receiver struck U.S. over the serial number, indicating it was one of the rifles purchased by the United States for marksmanship training. Last four digits of the serial number marked on the underside of the bolt in electropen. The trigger and bolt release move sluggishly, most likely due to old lubricants that must be cleaned. {MODERN}
