Lot of Three German Swords
World War I
1.) 34.75" blade length. 41" overall with scabbard and hilt. Straight single edged double fullered spearpoint blade mounting nickel plated hilt and guard with shagreen and wire wrapped handle. Item shows the {Kirschbaum} Knight's Helmet logo to right ricasso with the maker mark LORENZ STANKO MUNCHEN etched onto the back of the blade. Item is etched with a crown surrounded by floral motifs. Guard is engraved v. Hallera/v. Schrattenberg/v. Betz. Comes with nickel plated scabbard.
2.) 28.25" blade length. 36" overall with scabbard and hilt. Straight single edged spearpoint blade with double fullers decorated with the Bavarian motto IN TREUE FEST etched into the blade within banners flanked by floral motifs. Guard is engraved with further floral patterns over a beaded ground, and shows a nickel finish to metal with shagreen and wire wrapped handle. Scabbard is black enameled.
3.) 32.5" blade length. 38.5" overall with scabbard and hilt. Straight single edged spearpoint blade with a single fuller showing the Kirschbaum Knight's Helmet logo to right ricasso and the back of the blade etched A. FRANZ WURZBURG. Blade exhibits acid etched designs including the Bavarian motto In Treue Fest within banners. Hilt features a nickel plated triple branch guard with black pained wood core. Comes with nickel plated scabbard.
