Colt Second Generation Robert E. Lee 1851 Navy Revolver with Presentation Case

.36" caliber. 7.5" barrel length. SN: 1537REL. Blued metal finish with casehardened frame, hammer, and loading lever mounting one piece polished walnut grips and nickel plated gripstraps. Single action six-shot percussion revolver commemorating Confederate General Robert E. Lee. Left barrel is struck ROBERT E. LEE COMMEMORATIVE-NINETEEN SEVENTY ONE. Top of the barrel struck with the single line address -ADDRESS SAML COLT NEW-YORK CITY-. Left frame marked COLTS/PATENT, and the cylinder shows a crisp Ormsby's Naval Engagement scene. Comes with a walnut presentation case with brass lock plate and satin liner in lid displaying further commemorative marks, and velvet compartment lining. Included in the case are a reproduction Dixon & Sons powder flask, brass bullet mold, cone wrench, and a cap tin. {ANTIQUE}
