Edo Period Japanese Matchlock Musket
.56 cal. 42" barrel length. SN: NSN. Single-shot matchlock musket with rear block notch sight and front blade mounted atop a flared "Onion" muzzle. Wood stock inlaid with chrysanthemums with seam running along the underside inline with octagonal barrel. Bottom of stock features brass depiction of a dragon amongst clouds. Butt shows series of chrysanthemums on left flank with depiction of warrior riding wild boar down right flank. Comb features a second brass dragon flowing through the clouds. {ANTIQUE}
