Left side of the action body shows the S/1942 mark, indicating it was made by Savage Arms Company in 1942. Model mark reads No4 MKI*. Upper left action body marked U.S. PROPERTY. Barrel shows post-war British pressure proofs, and a US {Ordnance Bomb} to the left bayonet lug. Two groove rifling. Serial numbers mixed. Comes with a black Suncorite finished No4MKII/N67 marked spike bayonet with green painted scabbard. Trapdoor butt void of tools. {C&R}
