Receiver is marked U.S./SPRINGFIELD/ARMORY/CAL. .22 M2 with the barrel date reading SA/{Ordnance Bomb}/7-37. Item shows further M2 marks to the bolt body and handle, the latter in addition to the NS, or Nickel Steel marking. Semi pistol grip is struck M2.
