Pair of mid-19th Century Germanic Percussion Target Pistols by A. Dickore of Giessen

.51 caliber. 7.125" wedge retained octagonal barrels. NSN. Damascus patterned barrels, steel furniture, checkered French officer's European hardwood pattern stocks. Single shot percussion muzzleloading rifled pistols with hammer safeties, elevation adjustable rear sights, dovetailed front sights and single set triggers. Engraved locks, furniture and breeches, tops of barrels inlaid with silver reading A. DICKORE GIESSEN. Wooden ramrods are retained by steel pipes. Dickore worked in Giessen in Hesse-Nassau circa the 1840s according to Stockel. {ANTIQUE}
