Confederate Boyle & Gamble Style Brass Saber Bayonet Adapter with Two-Foot Lug
American Civil War
Tapered brass saber bayonet rifle barrel ring adapter with two footed lug that is nominally .81" long by .35" overall of the pattern attributed to Boyle & Gamble of Richmond. Nominal barrel diameter of the ring is .90" suggesting use on a Mississippi style rifle. Iron tension screw in place is heavily corroded, and appears to be original.
