Tapered brass saber bayonet rifle barrel ring adapter lug with rounded .82" long by .36" wide footed lug with a triangular cross section as found on those adapters made by Cook & Brother. Nominal barrel diameter of the ring is .80" suggesting use on a Cook & Brother style rifle. Iron tension screw in place appears to be a more recent addition for display.
