Two US Model 1913 Patton Sabers by Springfield Arsenal
World War I
1) 1914 Production Springfield Arsenal Patton Saber. SN: 10859. Bright 35" straight, tapered, spear-point blade with 28" median fuller. Overall length 42". 7" hilt with checkered steel backstrap, blackened sheet steel basket guard and composite grip. Buff leather throat washer. Includes a correct pattern scabbard with blued steel mounts and an incorrect leather cover.
2) 1913 Production Springfield Arsenal Patton Saber. SN: 6883. Bright 35" straight, tapered, spear-point blade with 28" median fuller. Overall length 42". 7" hilt with checkered steel backstrap, blackened sheet steel basket guard and composite grip. Bridle leather throat washer. Includes a correct pattern canvas and blued steel scabbard.
