Kimball over US over a naval {Anchor} inspection. Counterpane with clear script SWP/1879 cartouche. First model Hotchkiss safety and magazine cut-off on right rear of receiver, M1879 pattern long range rear sight, musket pattern front sight serves as lug for angular socket bayonet, sling swivel on front of triggerguard, sling and stacking swivels on upper barrel band.
