Lot Description

Five Kris Knives with Display Stand

1.) 13" blade length. 20" overall with scabbard and hilt. Straight double edged straight bladed Javanese Keris with carved wood handle and scabbard with wood throat and brass embossed body. Most likely early 19th Century.

2.) 12.5" blade length. 19.5" overall with scabbard and hilt. Straight double edged wootz steel blade with a pierced median and hook near nip in the Kebo Giri pattern. Item mounts a carved wood handle and a German silver lined scabbard.

3.) 14" blade length. 19.25" with scabbard and hilt. Double edged serpentine wootz steel blade that has been polished and sharpened mounting carved wood handle. Javanese Keris with a Bali nine Luk blade, likely late 19th Century, and mounting a beaded gold Mendak. Scabbard primarily wood with German Silver edges.

4.) 14.25" blade length. 19.75" overall with scabbard and hilt. Double edged polished serpentine thirteen Luk bladed Javanese Keris of the 18th Century mounting carved wood handle. Comes with wood scabbard with silver plated and embossed body. Throat is scratched JAVA and the hilt struck with the number 25.

5.) 13" blade length. 19.25" overall with scabbard and hilt. Straight double edged Wootz steel bladed Madura Keris with unusual dress consisting of Makassar Ebony with bone trim on both the hilt and scabbard.

All five fit in a wood display stand with carved dragon bolsters.
