Lot Description
19th Century Nepalese Kora
17.5" blade length. 22.25" with hilt. Curved single edge blade with the blade approximately 0.3125" thick along the back and mounting a horn grip, copper disc guard and ferrule, and iron disc pommel. Blade is lightly engraved along the unsharpened edges and features an {All Seeing Eye} on both sides to the tip. This late 19th Century Nepalese Kora is well known for its association with Gurkha warriors. This example appears to be hand made with all the embellishments applied with simple tools.
This lot is located in Cincinnati.
