Lot Description
Three Congolese Knives and a Liganda Currency Spear
1.) 12.75" blade length. 16.625" with hilt. Straight double edged blade with brass wire wrapped wood hilt. Zande/Boa knife of the Congo.
2.) 10" blade length. 14.5" overall with hilt. Straight double edged leaf shape blade with medial ridge and blade adorned with five ridged border in a wood hilt. Hilt is decorated with tacked wire woven designs. Ikula knife of the Kuba Tribe native to the Congo.
3.) 12.75" blade length. 18.25" overall with scabbard and hilt. Straight double edged spearpoint blade with ridged patterns struck into the heart of the blade. Hilt is made of wood and features a copper wire wrapped handle with brass tacked designs. Comes with a copper sheet wrapped and brass tacked wood scabbard. Abarambo tribe knife from the Congo.
4.) 58.5" overall length. Straight double edged hammered iron blade with bordered ridges to the edges and folding into a socket. Liganda currency spear from the Topoke tribe of Congo.
