Single action percussion revolver with five-chambered un-fluted cylinder, frame notch rear sight and German silver half-moon front sight blade. Barrel with three-line Remington address and patent information marking. Matching serial numbers stamped on left of frame under grip, under barrel and in pencil in both grips. As is typical of later production Remington percussion revolvers, the cylinder is not numbered. The frame number was initially stamped in error 9487 and a "6" was then stamped above the incorrect "9" when the workman noticed the mistake. {ANTIQUE}
