Straight double edged blade with flattened medial ridge and featuring an elaborate hilt with pierced clamshell guard retained by two screws, and an octagonal profile pommel containing a peened tang. Hilt is wrapped in brass wire braided at both ends. Knuckle bow consists of three conjoined branches in addition to the lower quillon. Sword has been buffed bright, and the tip reshaped at some point, likely due to breakage. Grip appears to be original.
