Aquatint and engraving with hand-coloring, heightened in gum-arabic, sheet 17 1/2 x 24 inches (445 x 610). Bodmer blindstamp in lower margin above imprint. (Remargined at left outermost edge, very faint dampstain at lower right corner, a few small creases.)
From Bodmer's Travels in the Interior of North America (1839-1841), one of the greatest illustrated American travel narratives.
