4to. Numerous wood-engravings by Sandzen. Original gilt-lettered black cloth (some uneven sunning to upper cover).
LIMITED EDITION, number 21 of 125 copies of the "de luxe" edition WITH AN ORIGINAL LITHOGRAPH SIGNED BY SANDZEN, titled "Pines by the Arroyo." Additionally signed by William Allen White, author of the introduction. Birger Sandzen's landscapes and prints of the American Southwest are considered among some of the most evocative of the region during the early 20th century.
