FIRST FRENCH EDITION. INSCRIBED BY MAN RAY TO SAMUEL SAX, "With apologies for the language." Man Ray was an American visual artist primarily known for his contributions to the Dada and Surrealist movements. A pioneering photographer, Ray was known for his "rayographs," which were photographs created without the use of the camera by placing objects directly onto the surface of light-sensitive materials and then exposing them to light.
