8vo (211 x 130 mm). With 4 aquatint plates (lacking half-title). Contemporary half black calf gilt, marbled boards. Provenance: John Horne, Esq. (presentation inscription). FIRST EDITION, PRESENTATION COPY, inscribed by Brand: "To John Horne Esq. with the authors kind regards". Brand crossed the Pampas by horse and traversed the Cordillera of the Andes on foot past Aconcagua to Valparaiso and Santiago, returning across the Andes to Buenos Aires. Neate B151.
