Color lithographed plates, frontispiece printed on vellum, monochrome text lithographs, by Rene ben Sussan. Brown crushed levant, covers with abstract linear pattern in gilt, silver, and with brown and tan calf onlays, spine and tan crushed levant doublures similarly decorated, brown watered silk endpapers, marbled flyleaves, signed by Lotard 1928. LIMITED EDITION, number 79 of 250 numbered copies on vlin a la cuve du Marais. -- Andre Gide. Paris, 1928. Original portrait etching by Foujita, numerous illustrations. Tan crushed levant, covers with large vellum overlays with abstract rectilinear pattern in gilt and black, spine similarly decorated, marbled endpapers, signed by Lotard 1931. LIMITED EDITION, number 71 of 200 numbered copies on papier madagascar, of a total edition of 1807. -- Together 2 works, 4to, original slipcases, condition generally good with only minor scuffs or sunning.
