Two Cinnabar Lacquer Seal Paste Boxes and Covers LATE 19TH/EARLY 20TH CENTURY the first carved to the cover depicting a scholar and his attendant set in an outdoor scene, the second a sinuous dragon amongst clouds, the sides decorated with floral scrolls above a band of lappets, the interior and the underside lacquered black.
