A Chippendale Mahogany Tall Case Clock WORKS BY JACOB GODSCHALK, PHILADELPHIA, CIRCA 1770 the hood having three urn form finials above the broken arch pediment and the glazed door opening to a brass moonphase dial with engraved Roman numeral hours and Arabic numeral minutes, further set with a seconds dial, signed Jacob Godschalk/ Philadelphia, the straight trunk fitted with a door flanked by fluted columnar pilasters, raised on ogee bracket feet. Height 96 1/2 x width 21 1/2 x depth 10 3/4 inches.
