A Hardstone Inset Gilt Bronze Circular 'Dragon' Box and Cover 18TH/19TH CENTURY of deep circular form raised on a short straight foot decorated with a keyfret band, the cover and the sides cast in high relief depicting writhing dragons pursuing flaming pearls of wisdom amongst ruyi clouds, inset with amethyst and coral-tone hardstone beads, the underside incised with a Qianlong four-character mark within a double square panel and likely of the period.
