Additional engraved title-page, engraved title vignette, printed in double-column. (Hinging with tape repairs, marginal spotting and soiling.) Full contemporary calf, spine in 6 compartments with 4 raised bands, gilt-lettered in the second (overall rubbing and wear to boards and spine, joints split with tape repairs, discreet library label). FIRST EDITION. The printing in double-column with Peter de Walpergens pica Anglo-Saxon type was used in this book for the first time. Provenance: William R. Smith (bookplate).
