QING DYNASTY
depicting two scholars having a conversation under pine tree besides rockwork, having calligraphic inscription to the left, signed possibly Zhang Ben(Da)bao, dated Xianfeng yuan nian (the first year of Xianfeng's reign, corresponding to year 1850), ink and color on paper, framed. The reverse bearing Gump's San Francisco label.
