A Chinese Ink and Color on Paper
19TH CENTURY OR EARLIER
depicting a central Buddha figure seated in dhyanasana on a double lotus base raised on a stepped pedestal applied with beast mask decoration and two guardians resting atop, the Buddha's face with a benevolent expression, his right hand in vitarka mudra and the left hand resting at front, wearing elaborate robes and all hair in tight knots, backed by a radiating mandala, all below a canopy and set in a background filled with auspicious clouds. Framed.
