Lot Description
A Jade and Hardstone Embellished Lacquer Wall Panel
the shaped panel inset with jade, agate, lapis lazuli, amethyst and other hardstones depicting flowering peony branches issuing from rockery, having a Qianlong imperial poem to the upper left corner followed by a seal Qianlong yu ti, all against an ochre ground enclosed by a key-fret border, the reverse black with gilt fu bats and eight Buddhist emblems amongst auspicious clouds, set in a hardwood frame surmounted by a gilt bronze handle cast to show a shou medallion flanked by two bats with lotus flowers on each end.
