Lot Description

[KENNEDY, John F. (1917-1963)] -- KENNEDY, Robert (1925-1968). Group of letters, ephemera.


Typed letter secretarially signed ("Jack Kennedy"), as United States Senator. On United States Senate letterhead. Washington, D.C., n.d. (ca 1960).1p, approx. 6 x 8 in. (center crease). Kennedy writes to the State Chairman of the Democratic Party in Nebraska. -- Typed letter with printed signature ("John Kennedy"), on United States House of Representatives letterhead. Washington, D.C., 21 August 1952. 1p, 6 1/4 x 9 in. Kennedy thanks Mr. Genovese for signing his nomination papers as part of his campaign for US Senate.

[With:] KENNEDY, Robert F. (1925-1968). "[John] Kennedy for President" campaign pamphlet signed ("R. Kennedy") in green ink, approx. 3.5 x 8 in. (creasing, adhesive residue, toning). Also signed by Pennsylvania Congressman William J. Green, Jr. (1910-1963). Pencil notations along signatures appear to identify the occasion where the autograph was obtained as being a "Citizens for Kennedy" event on 5 August 1960. -- Robert Kennedy political pin (tab) from his 1968 campaign. -- 8 x 10 black and white photograph of Robert Kennedy signed ("Bobby Kennedy"), likely secretarial.

[With:] KENNEDY, Edward M. Typed letter secretarially signed ("Edward M Kennedy"), on United States Senate letterhead. Washington, D.C. 3 December 1969. 1p,  8 x 11 in. (creasing). Kennedy thanks the recipient for his thoughtfulness. -- "Americans for Kennedy / for President" campaign pin.

[Also with:] Additional Kennedy family ephemera, comprising: two magazines, three color photo cards featuring JFK, a large 6 in. diameter JFK inauguration pin, and February 1938 issue of The American Observer featuring an image of Joseph P. Kennedy and his son John Kennedy, then a student at Harvard.
