[MILITARIA]. A group of 6 Civil War-era shoulder straps for infantry and artillery officers.
1) Pair of Smith's Patent Infantry Captain's shoulder straps in a Riker display box, nominally 3.85 x 1.6 in. Faux gold bullion brass borders and bars, dark blue wool broadcloth background. With Smith's Patent paper labels on reverse.
2) Pair of Artillery Captain's shoulder straps in Riker display box, nominally 3.8 x 1.4 in., not including excess fabric for mounting on a uniform. Gold bullion borders and bars, red wood broadcloth background.
3) A single 2nd Lieutenant of Infantry shoulder strap. Nominally 3.9 x 1.4 in. Gold bullion border, no bar as appropriate for this rank, dark blue wool broadcloth background.
4) A single 2nd Lieutenant of Artillery shoulder strap. Nominally 3.9 x 1.45 in. Gold bullion border, no bar as appropriate for this rank, dark red wool broadcloth background.
