Half plate tintype of a soldier wearing a 9-button frock coat and forage cap with gold-highlighted infantry insignia.
A seated, rather intimate portrait of a fresh-faced, rosy-cheeked federal soldier wearing a cap with brass bugle insignia and additional devices appearing to signify a Maine regiment: "[?][?] ME." His buttons and other details are highlighted in gold. (Few dents/creases, several abrasions and spots to plate, oxidation to mat; unsealed.) Housed under mat and preserver (no glass) in a half pressed paper case (surface wear/loss).
