The young child shown holding whip and wearing blue dress, pencil and watercolor on paper, the paper impressed with Bristol Board stamp, u.r., framed, bearing note verso inscribed, "John Pemberton Wilson/ Born Nov. 2nd 1846/ Died Feb. 15th 1880/ Son of John and Hannah Wilson of Winewall, Colne, Lancashire./ Interred at Winewall Inghamite Chapelyard/ The above John Wilson."
