Smith & Wesson Model 1 2nd Issue Tip Up Revolver

.22RF Short. 3.25" ribbed barrel. SN: 88220 (mfg. ca. 1866). Blued metal finish with silver plated frame mounting varnished rosewood square butt grips, and blued small parts. Single action seven-shot tip-up revolver with fluted octagonal barrel mounting German Silver front blade and cylinder stop notch rear sights. Top of the barrel rib is marked SMITH & WESSON SPRINGFIELD. MASS. Cylinder is engraved with single line patent mark reading PATENTED APRIL 3. 1855. JULY 5. 1859. & DEC. 19. 1860.
