**S/42 Code G Chamber Date P08 Luger Pistol in Modern Display Box
World War II
9mm Para. 3.9" barrel length. SN: 1497n. Blued metal refinish overall mounting checkered walnut grips, matted front blade and toggle notch rear sights. Short recoil operated striker action autoloading pistol fed by detachable single stack magazines and utilizing a toggle locked action. Item shows S/42 mark to the toggle link, indicating it was manufactured by Mauser. Item further displays the 8,82 bore gauge marking, and a G date marking on the top of the barrel extension indicating it was made in 1935. Serial numbers are mixed with the numbers of the frame components matching one another, while the toggle and barrel serial numbers match in a different series of number 2273. Item shows standard GESICHERT safety marking, and GELADEN marking to the extractor. Item comes with one WWII era chrome plated magazine with aluminum base plug showing Waffenamt marking and serial number. Pistol additionally comes with one post-war magazine, and a green velvet lined walnut case with brass hinges.
