Springfield US Model 1903 MkI Rifle
World War I
.30-06. 24" barrel length. SN: 1182954. Parkerized metal refinish overall in walnut straight wrist stock mounting adjustable ladder rear notch and front blade sight with protector. Bolt action internal magazine fed repeating rifle. Receiver is marked U.S./SPRINGFIELD/ARMORY/MODEL 1903/MARK I, and shows the ejection port cut into the left side for use with the Pedersen device. Barrel is marked SA/{Ordnance Bomb}/3-33, indicating it was made by Springfield Armory in 1933, and replaced the original barrel. Serial number corresponds with 1919 production. Item shows weak circle P mark to the wrist with wrist struck in two places RA-P, indicating rebuild. Item comes with a Pattern 1907 sling that has been stamped RI/1918.
