U.S. Civil War Infantry Belt with Maker Marked U.S. Plate & Cap Pouch
American Civil War
39" long, 1.88" wide blackened buff leather infantry belt with brass keeper, mounted with a puppy paw lead filled stamped brass US belt plate with a weak WH SMITH/BROOKLYN maker's mark on the rear face. An SH Young maker marked cap pouch with an R WHITE inspection on the outer flap is attached to the belt. The cap pouch retains the fleece lining and an original cone prick.
