American Civil War
42.25" long, 1.9" wide blackened bridle leather infantry belt with brass keeper, mounted with a Gaylord style lead covered puppy paw stud, lead filled stamped brass US belt plate. Belt has been field modified with a sewn on extension to allow it to fit a large waist size and has an illegible maker's or inspector's stamp on it. An unmarked cap pouch is attached to the belt. The cap pouch retains the fleece lining and an original cone prick.
