U.S. Pattern 1861 .69 Caliber Round Ball Cartridge Box with Sling & Breast Plate
American Civil War
7.125" wide by 6.125" tall cartridge box, exterior dimensions with flap 8.25" wide by 6.75". Sewn latch tab without reinforcing rivet on face, rivet reinforced belt loops on rear as well as provision for sling wear with slots and two japanned buckles. Box with implement pouch on inner face and both tin magazines intact. Unmarked. Sling attached with Eagle breast plate.
