Lot Description
19th Century Halfstock Percussion Rifle by F. Reynolds of New York
.45 Cal. 28.25" barrel length. SN: NSN. Buffed bright metal finish with blued lock, triggerguard, buttplate, and varnished walnut straight wrist stock with checkered wrist and shotgun style butt. Single shot percussion target rifle with fixed rear notch and German Silver front blade sights on an octagonal barrel retained by a single wedge pin in the forend. Barrel is struck F. REYNOLDS NEW YORK. Hammer is engraved with a fish scale pattern to the top and a spiral scroll pattern to the outer surface. Comes with a wood ramrod with brass tips.
