An Edo-Period Japanese Jingasa with Akamatsu Mon
About 13.5" diameter by 5" deep. Wood jingasa that appears to be covered with lacquered cloth. Exterior of jingasa is black lacquered, interior red. Exterior of jingasa is painted with what appears to be a gold Hinomaru (ball of the sun) and what appears to be the Akamatsu clan mon.
